The Static Fields don't get weather — they ARE weather — so when a storm parked itself over the antennas and hit the same spot twice, the crew went to look. Volt was standing in the scorch mark, fully formed, quills lit, watching the sky like it owed him a rematch. He followed Static home, adopted the factory's dead channels as a personal library, and now charges himself off the Boiler Room mains, which Seven has learned to schedule around. The figure line needed a unit that glowed in the dark. Volt volunteered by walking into the mold room and standing very still.
